This
review has something special: is the
first international review that I made
here in Makila Crowley's site. And to
celebrate, I made a special version
of the review in the English version.
After all I am sure that the band want
to know what we think about her.
But
let´s cut the crap and go to what
really matters: music.
Armory release this album first in 2004,
but after a new mix in the sound , release
again en 2007. I don't know the older
version but I can say for sure, that
this work came with an excellent quality.
Power metals fans (like
me) will for sure dig this album. Music
with a lot of energy, a clean vocal,
aggressive guitar´s and a very
well done keyboard, Armory proves that
they came to stay. Of course the band
still has a lot to learn and experience
to gain. Adam´s vocal´s
era very nice, but sometimes he make´s
some mistakes. And the music, even that
well done, sometimes get´s a little
boring talking only about the traditional
of Power metal (Steel / Swords / fantasy)
and with nothing new. But let make myself
clear that nothing of this hurts the
band performance, but these are things
that can make the difference in the
next album.
To
me, the music that you have to put our
eyes (or ears) very close are for sure
"Forever Triumphan", "Warrior
Forlorn" and the beautiful and
instrumental "Forged in Dragon
Flames". The album came's also
with two bonus: first a cover of Iron
Maiden' "Flight of Icarus"
and a very funny tribute to "Dr
Wily", the enemy of Nintendo games
Megaman.
I
expected that this will be the first
of many international reviews to come
and I am very happy to see a American
Power Metal band, because this is not
a style that we see in American band's
and hope to see more works of this band
in a very little time.
